Tessa Elliott
Artistic & Educational Director, Surgery – Digital Art Research

Whilst producing and directing computer mediated installations, Tessa has been actively involved in education and academia. She lectured for eight years at Centre for Electronic Arts, Middlesex University, becoming Course Leader of the acclaimed MA Digital Arts in 1994. In 1998 she was appointed as Senior Research Fellow in The Digital Media Lab, University of the West of England (UWE) and in 1999 Reader in Digital Art at Wimbledon School of Art. Her writings on digital art and education have be published and presented at national and international forums, including SIGGRAPH and ISEA. She has constructed a series of innovative digital workshops for, amongst others, Camerawork, SplitScreen, Lighthouse and Site.


Tessa Elliott is currently the artistic and educational director of Surgery - Digital Art Research (surgerydar.co.uk).
