Rhodri Williams, Director Ofcom WalesRhodri Williams began his career as a journalist with Rebecca magazine before joining HTV's Current Affairs Department in 1982. Between then and 1989 he worked on HTV’s Welsh-language current affairs series ‘Y Byd ar Bedwar’ as a researcher, presenter and editor.  In 1989 he co-founded what later became Wales' largest independent production company, Agenda Television (now known as Tinopolis).


For several years he was editor of S4C's flagship daily magazine programme ‘Heno’ and then went on to develop the company’s e-learning division providing IT solutions for organisations including UBS, Deloitte & Touche and HM Treasury.  He was appointed a member of the Welsh Language Board in December 1996 and was subsequently appointed Chairman in 1997, a post which he held until August 2004.  He was appointed as Ofcom's Director Wales in December 2003 and leads Ofcom’s work in Wales.
