Huw Swayne
Head of Design, Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries
Huw Swayne is Head of Design at the newly established Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries. Over the past 8 years he has developed a range of Post-Graduate, Undergraduate and Foundation Level Awards in a range of Design subjects, and has successfully obtained grants to support the curriculum and new awards, most recently an Objective 1 Grant to support development and delivery of highly successful MA Graphic Communication.
His research interests include skills gaps in Graphic Design SMEs, Entrepreneurship in design, and impact of ebusiness on graphic design providers, and he is currently creating a range of learning resources for Welsh Medium Education and pursuing interests in traditional/digital image manipulation.
